Chris announces that Moon Music will be released in May 2024
Chris has announced that Coldplay's next album, Moon Music, will be released in May 2024.
During a fan meeting organised by our Coldplay Xtra colleagues at Seattle's Hard Rock Cafe, to mark the band's concert at Lumen Field on Wednesday.
During an unannounced visit, Chris, accompanied by Phil Harvey, announced that the band's next album, Moon Music, will be released in May 2024.
Speaking about the band's forthcoming album, Chris revealed the titles of two tracks from the album, 'Jupiter' and 'Angel's Song'.
Chris said that Jupiter is a song about being yourself in difficult circumstances, while for Angel's Song, Chris revealed that Will will be doing the high-pitched vocals.
Chris also said that the album will see the return of producer Brian Eno (who previously worked with the band on Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends 2007/2008) alongside Max Martin, with violinist and long-time friend Davide Rossi also taking part.
Talking about the Music Of The Spheres World Tour, Chris says there will be a few visual changes, with some 'stunning' additions for the 2024 tour shows, and answering questions from fans about the setlist and its evolution, Chris says it's really hard to incorporate songs like Amazing Day and Daddy, which he says he's forgotten how to play live, into the setlist with the current tour and shows format.

Answering a question about the band's state of mind, Chris says that they're in a phase where they just have fun, they don't care what people think, and that the band is and will remain true to itself.
